Dear Agony WIzard,
I need some help with connecting and communicating with the fairy kingdom. I have always felt a connection to them and have written my fair share of enchanted stories, had magical dreams with them and an admiration of them, etc. but now it seems I have lost that spark with them. I want to know what ways there are to get in better touch with the fae, how to appease them(if so) and how to form a close bond with them! Do you also know of any spells I can to to get in touch? Thanks!

Sincerely,

Fairyly Confused

Dear Fairyly Confused,

As I’m sure you’re well aware of from your past dealings wih the Fae, they can be quite easily distracted.  One minute they’re by your side and acting the part of your muse and the next  they’re off.  People that choose to befriend fairies must ultimately accept this part of their little personalities.

That being said, for those of us who love having them constantly around in our lives, it’s never easy to go through the periods that they choose o be elsewhere.  In my experience I’ve found that though it’s impossible to predict when they might elect to leave us for a time there are a few things that we can do to bring them back faster.  Here are a few of the ones that I’ve found to be the most effective:

  • make sure to leave out a saucer of milk and some honeyed bread
  • make a special fairy house to hang outside- this is basically a bird house outfitted with tiny furniture for their comfort.
  • Take time to go outside and talk to them even when you can’t immediately see them- No matter where you live there are fairies abroad.  Just make sure you do this in a quiet place since not all accept their existance.

There are also a number of effective spells to summon the Fae.  Because the type of spell would depend on the type of fairy you want to attract, I chose not to list any here.  However, if you get back to me with a specific type, I’d be glad to send you the correct spell.

I hope these thoughts help.  Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to  ask.

Namaste,

The Agony Wizard
