Enjoy my Tarot ‘horoscope’ card of the day. Today it’s the Devil

The DevilThe card I’ve drawn today is the Devil and it’s one of the 22 Major Arcana which shows important energies flowing around today. The keywords of this card are constraint, bondage and materialism.

The Devil is one of those cards in the Tarot which cause people to take a sharp intake of breath. It doesn’t mean you’re possessed by the devil but it does show that there is an area of your life which you have very little control over. This is by choice and not by circumstance.

When the Devil appears in a reading it’s a sign you’ve allowed yourself to be bound to someone or something. This may be a lover, an addiction or a job – deep in your heart you know it’s bad for you but you can’t let go. This card is a wake up call – time to face your demons and get on with your life.

If you have a habit which is overtaking your life then now is the time to do something about it before it consumes you completely. This might be smoking, over eating, alcohol, drugs or even over spending. Whatever the pay off right now, it won’t be worth it in the long run.

If you’re in a relationship then you need to take some time to evaluate whether your current partner is the right one for you. Do you feel bound to your mate out of fear rather than staying out of love? If you’re single, what is it that you fear living without a -partner?

At work you have to ask yourself if you really want to be where you are. Is your current job the right one for you? Really? Or are you just staying put because you get a regular salary and benefits? Perhaps it’s time to do something that you want to do rather than what you feel you should do.

The Devil is a card of asking hard questions and having the courage to free yourself from the limiting beliefs and circumstances in your life.
