The card I’ve drawn today is the Hierophant. This card is one of the 22 major arcane and shows influential energy circling around today.

The Hierophant is a card of tradition, organisation and often religion. It has a rigid, structured energy so today isn’t the day to throw caution to the wind and take the road trip you’ve always wanted or join a hippy commune – things probably won’t work out as you’d expect. Instead of doing the unexpected, today is about bowing down to the norms and really just getting on with what’s expected.

This might sound a little dull but there is a comfort in tradition and routines. Enjoy the security of knowing patterns are pretty much unchanged, that family life will be pretty standard and there’s no big surprises in relationships.

The energy of this card suggests that today is an ideal time to visit church or make time for spiritual worship. Also, if you’ve been thinking of taking a course or enrol in an education programme – today would be good to go ahead and do it.

You may also find yourself in the role of advisor. If a friend, family member or colleague comes to you for advice be prepared to act as mediator.

The card I’ve drawn today is the Hanged Man and it’s one of the 22 major arcana which shows important energies flowing around today. The keywords of this card are inactivity, patience and suspension.

When the Hanged Man appears in a reading it shows a time of inactivity. Things won’t be moving as quickly as you’d like – when this happens there’s always a temptation to get frustrated but the lesson of this card is patience. We don’t do ‘patience’ very well in modern day society so you may find the energy of today testing your limits!

If you consider the image of the Hanged Man – he’s hanging by one leg from a tree with a serene look on his face – you’ll notice he’s un-injured and actually at peace. He’s taking a look at like from a different angle and that’s what you should do today!

You may feel stuck in a rut, like life is passing you – spend some time pondering on how you can change that feeling. If you listen to your inner voice the answer will come (but again have patience!).

If you’re faced with problems or challenges today, take some time to think rather than react straight away. You may always react in the same way when faced with difficulties so stop and consider alternatives. A different reaction means a different outcome!

With the passive energy of the Hanged Man don’t expect great advancements in both love and money. These areas will appear stagnant – don’t worry though they’ll pass, you just need patience!

The card I’ve drawn today is The Lovers. This card is one of the major arcane and shows strong energy circling today. The keywords for the Lovers are decisions, choices and connections.

When the Lovers card is mentioned usually images of perfect bliss with a partner come to mind but usually there is a meaning of choice surrounding the card. More often than not though it does involve your love life.

If you’re currently out of a relationship then it could be an indicator that your soulmate is nearby so you should be on the look out for your ideal partner. However, soulmate relationships don’t come without a price – you will need to be ready to make sacrifices to make the relationship work.

If you’ve already in a relationship, the energy of the Lovers could take your existing relationship one of two ways. Either it will feel like a second honeymoon today or you’ll be faced with important decisions that could make or break your partnership. The Lovers can be a very all or nothing card.

Outside of relationships, The Lovers brings decisions and choices to all other aspects of your life. At work you could be faced with significant choices to make – perhaps you’ll need to pit your wits against a co-worker or decide to enter a race for promotion.

The card I’ve drawn today is the Page of Wands. This card is one of the court cards and can be read either as another person in your life or the energy that you need to take on today. For this reading I’m interpreting the Page of Wands as the latter.

This page is the chid like personality of the fire element. He or she is energetic, creative, confident and courageous. Pure energy!

The Page of Wands doesn’t let anything hold him back. He sees an opportunity and goes for it – there’s no time for hesitation or pondering whether it’s the absolute thing to do. He knows that if he doesn’t take it then the opportunity will be gone tomorrow. So take on this go-getter attitude today. If you’re offered something, or even someone, grab the opportunity with both hands and run with it.

Confidence is key with this card. You’ll get so much more out of today if you act confidently and self assured. You may not feel this way at all so ‘fake it until you make it’ and you’ll soon be walking that air of confidence which turns heads and commands respect.

There’s great energy around today for beginning creative projects. This doesn’t necessarily mean arts and crafts but anything you feel enthusiastic about.

If you are faced with challenges today try not to take a conventional approach to finding a solution. Use the creativity that’s buzzing around and think outside the box.

The 5 of Cups shows that today you’re in a gloomy frame of mind. You would rather dwell on all the things you’ve lost instead of concentrating on the positive things you have in front of you. What’s gone is gone and there’s nothing you can do to bring it back. It’s time to accept it and move forward.

At work you may find setbacks and delays. You would probably rather be anywhere else than at work and your energy levels reflect this frame of mind. It’s hard to get motivated and time drags on endlessly. During this time you might find yourself pondering on all the other avenues you could have taken during your career and how you’ve ended up where you are. If you don’t like it, don’t dwell and make yourself miserable – steer yourself back to where you want to be!

In relationships you might be far more concerned with ‘the one that got away’ than your current partner or love situation. Ex-lovers become ‘ex’ for a reason so don’t waste your energy dwelling on all of those ‘could have beens’ as it’s not going to happen. Turn your energy around and invest it into your current partner or , if you’re single enjoy the life you have now. Life’s too short to grieve over losses of the past – enjoy yourself in the present.

The 10 of Cups is a card of completion – a time when you can quite rightly sit back and feel a little smug about your life. Often this card is called the ‘happy family’ card and signifies a time of domestic bliss!

Home is very much the forefront of your mind today and it’s here you truly find refuge from the rest of the world. Your safety and security is wrapped up in your family and home life. Sometimes you may not appreciate all of this but today you’ll see it for all it’s worth.

At work, you may find yourself in a favourable position as past difficulties fade and harmony reigns supreme. New ventures at work may be found through social or family contacts. Communication is very important with this card especially newer kinds of communication such as emails and faxes. So today don’t forget to open your mail box or check the fax machine – there could be some important news waiting for you.

At work, don’t be afraid to broaden your horizons. If you’re wanting a change type up your CV and get to sending it out to new companies. If you want to work for yourself then today is ideal to begin a website and begin getting yourself known. There is a very strong energy with this card – it’s all about standing up for yourself and what you believe in. Don’t let anyone push you around today and be prepared to put people in their place if they do overstep their bounds. Everything really is in your favour so don’t give in to anyone.

You may think that everything is an uphill struggle and you’re never going to see any results – don’t’ fret. Today is just ‘one of those days’ and you’ll find things even out tomorrow.
